Well known European photographers have been invited to Pafos so as to wander in the neighbourhoods and visually record the adventures of a world unseen.
The exhibition will present works by photographers: Nikos Economopoulos (Greece), Antoine D’Agata (France), Bieke Depoorter (Belgium), Nicolas Iordanou (Cyprus). Exhibition curators: Nicolas Iordanou and Sylvia Nicolaides.
THE TRIAL OF SOCRATES
Friday 8 September
Ancient Odeon 20:30
“What would happen if Socrates was on trial now? In another time, another place, by other people? By us, by you?” About 2500 years after Socrates’ trial and his death sentence, the Pafos Bar Association repeats the historic trial with this performance, this time, in a modern court. Socrates is being tried on the basis of the Attic Law and the speeches of the Prosecutors of his time, but by using modern Criminal Procedure. During the performance, the audience, as members of the Court, will be asked to vote, thus, defining the final outcome of the trial.
Organised by the Pafos Bar Association
